The challenge
As Little Thinking Minds expanded into UAE government schools, cloud spend was rising, the application slowed during busy school hours, and the platform needed to satisfy strict public-sector data-residency requirements.
What CloudVests delivered
CloudVests reviewed the platform against AWS best practices, moved it to a leaner elastic architecture, and restructured its data layer so regional information remained properly isolated.
Application services were consolidated on Amazon ECS and distributed behind Elastic Load Balancing, while Amazon Aurora provided a managed, highly available data tier. Regional data boundaries were reflected in the workload and database layout rather than handled only in application logic.
Amazon CloudFront reduced repeated origin work during school-hour peaks. CloudWatch telemetry and Cost Explorer data were used together to rightsize capacity without trading away learner experience or availability.
The outcome
The modernization improved peak-hour performance and availability while lowering spend and giving the internal team a clearer, more sustainable architecture.
The platform moved to a measurable capacity model in which student demand, database behavior, content delivery, and cost could be reviewed together by the engineering team.
“Little Thinking Minds saw a remarkable 50% reduction in cloud costs and a 25% performance improvement thanks to CloudVests’ effective AWS partnership. They also empowered our team with valuable knowledge.” — Tareq Elayyan, Director of Software Engineering, Little Thinking Minds
